AIRBAG (DUNNAGE BAGS)
29 August 20223D airbags are essential when the space between cargo units is greater than 60 cm.
Traditional airbags have only two dimensions (A and H). 3D airbags are made with an extra piece of fabric, sewn to the main body, to create the third dimension (B).
3D airbags are inserted into the empty spaces between the cargo and then filled with compressed air. The airbags secure the cargo during transport by preventing movement and absorbing impacts.
3D airbags are made to customer specifications to better meet the needs of the end user.
Construction
The basic construction of any dunnage airbag is the combination of two main parts:
■ the inner layer (extruded polyethylene) that holds the compressed air.
■ the outer layer (polypropylene) that gives shape, stability and enormous resistance to the airbag.

3D airbags are made to customer specifications to best meet the needs of the end user.
Association of American Railroads (AAR)
The AAR standard approval is an indicator of high product quality. All BEGNI Group COBRA® dunnage airbags are AAR verified.
Rapid Inflation Valve (Venturi)
Rapid inflation (and deflation) valves, compared to traditional valves, manage an enormous flow of air: the airbags fill much faster and no compressed air is wasted. (Compared to traditional valves, the airbag fills up 30 – 40% faster). They also allow repetitive use of the airbag thanks to the ease of deflation.
Inflation Pressure
In accordance with the European standard, the safety factor is 3. (Nominal burst pressure / Inflation pressure).
The average pressure of use must not exceed 0.05 bar.
