The purpose of a dunnage air bag is to secure the cargo during transportation (in a sea container, in a rail wagon, in a truck).
Airbags are inserted into the empty spaces between the load and then filled with compressed air. Airbags secure the load during transportation by preventing movement and absorbing impacts.
