G100 STEEL CHAIN SLINGS
23 September 2022
GROMMETS WITH TEXTILE CORE
23 September 2022Container hooks are designed to lift through the side (G80ECH and G80CLB) and top/vertical (G80CLT) container attachments/holes only. They are forged from grade 80 alloy steel and are simple to install.
A spreader bar connected to chain or synthetic fibre (polyester, HMPE) slings is recommended. The grade 80 or grade 100 alloy steel chain sling should be 20mm in diameter.
■ Easy to install.
■ G80 hardened alloy steel.
■ 4:1 safety factor.
G80ECH
They can be fitted to either the top or bottom side fittings depending on the lifting method you intend to use. Simply rotate 90 degrees to lock into place. Each hook has a WLL of 12.5t.
G80ECH hooks should not be fitted to the front or rear fittings/holes.
G80ECHL and G80ECHR
G80ECHL and G80ECHR hooks are sold individually and are available in left and right hand versions to lock correctly on each side of the container (two for the right hand side and two for the left hand side).
Once fitted, the G80ECHL and G80ECHR hooks are set at 45 degrees from vertical to create the correct angle for the lifting slings.
The G80ECHL and G80ECHR hooks are intended for use with a spreader bar connected to two-leg chain or synthetic fibre (polyester, HMPE) slings with a working angle of 45° (±15°).
G80ECHS
G80ECHS hooks are sold individually and are designed for lifting in a vertical position only.
G80ECHS hooks are intended for use with an H-beam connected to four single-leg chain or synthetic fibre (polyester, HMPE) slings with a working angle of 0° (±15°).
G80CLB
G80CLB hooks are designed for lifting through the side attachments of the container.
They are forged from grade 80 alloy steel and are easy to install with a spring-loaded bolt that prevents the hook from being released accidentally during use – a quarter turn is all it takes to lock the hook into place.
A set of 4 G80CLB hooks (two for the right and two for the left) can lift containers within the following parameters:
■ Up to 32 t with a working angle of maximum 50° from vertical.
■ Up to 50 t straight pull.
Any deviation from this will affect the WLL and the safety of the lift.
G80CLB hooks must be used with a spreader bar connected to chain or synthetic fibre (polyester, HMPE) slings.
G80CLT
G80CLT hooks are designed to lift through the top attachments of the container.
They are forged from grade 80 alloy steel and are simple to install as they enter the holes vertically and are locked into place with a 90 degree rotation.
A set of 4 G80CLT hooks can lift containers up to 56 t exclusively in vertical mode with a spreader bar connected to chain or synthetic fibre slings (polyester, HMPE).
Lifting in angular mode is not permitted.
If the container needs to be lifted in angular mode, the G80ECH or G80CLB hooks are recommended.
