How is HDT protection made?
HDT protection is a tubular sleeve made of 100% HMPE Dyneema® fiber and is suitable for protecting flat and round slings from the risk of cutting. It has a tubular shape to facilitate the quick and easy insertion of each sling.
These anti-cut sleeves cover the entire surface of the sling that comes into contact with the load and prevent the load from cutting or penetrating the structure of the sling.
■ They comply with the EN1492-2 standard (“Reinforcements and protection against damage caused by edges and/or abrasion”).
Integrated solutions for safe lifting
Different sizes of HDT sleeve are available, to best suit the type of sling you want to cover. However, since the HDT sleeve is not fixed to the sling, but slides over it, it can expose some parts to the risk of cutting.
For a reliable and durable solution to lifting against the risk of cutting, we recommend slings where the load-bearing structure and the HDT protection are a single structure:
■ 2WHD – 4WHD: 2 – 4 plies polyester slings with HDT protection
■ RSHD: endless HMPE slings with HDT protection
■ Easy to handle and to use.
■ Exceptional flexibility as expected from a textile product.
■ Very easy and fast sling insertion.
■ Superior resistance to every kind of abrasion.
■ Maximum resistance to sharp hedges.
■ Excellent tear resistance when under extreme pressure.
■ It does not absorb moisture.
■ Special wear indicators (red lines) in the inside part of the sleeve. When the red lines become visible, the sleeve must be discarded.
■ Possibility of customization: based on customer needs, we create specific solutions (slings with adequate protections).
■ Large stock in the warehouse: wide tubular protections availability in all sizes permits fast delivery times, to evade also the most urgent orders.
■ 100% HMPE Dyneema®.
■ Tubular 3D woven, consisting of four woven plies binded togheter in two hardy layers.
■ Single thickness 5 mm (double thickness 10 mm).
■ Working temperatures: -40°C +80°C.
■ Very good UV resistance.
■ Excellent resistance to chemicals.
