How are TS2 and TS4 protections made?
TS2 and TS4 protections are made by joining together strong heat-bonded polyester tapes with a coating that hardens the surface, creating a tubular shape in which to insert the slings.
TS2 and TS4 sleeves are applied close to the points of the load that can damage the slings (rough and partially sharp parts), increasing the life and safety of the slings.
TS2 and TS4 protections are an economical solution suitable for protecting the sling only from a modest risk of abrasion: they are not suitable for protecting against the risk of cutting and strong abrasion.
TS2 and TS4
TS4 protections have been designed to further improve the TS2 sleeves, thanks to a double layer construction. This construction relieves the tension on each layer, effectively extending the life of the top layer.
TS2: single thickness 3.5 mm (double thickness 7 mm).
TS4: single thickness 7 mm (double thickness 14 mm).
Standard Lengths
The TS2 and TS4 protections are made in standard lengths of 50, 100, 150, 200 cm. Custom lengths can be made.
A length of at least 8% of the length of the sling is recommended.
