CORNER PROTECTIONS IN DYNEEMA®
30 August 2022
POLYESTER ENDLESS WEBBING SLINGS
30 August 2022“High performance” round slings are defined as such because they are made with a special polyethylene fiber (HMPE) precisely defined as “high performance” due to its formidable properties.
HPRS-HC slings are composed of two parts: the load-bearing core (core) in HMPE and the core covering (cover) in Cordura®.
Cordura® is a special polyamide fibre highly resistant to abrasion and tearing. Thanks to these properties, the Cordura® cover also resists the abrasive forces and overheating that the slings undergo near the gripping points (hooks, shackles, pins) following the high pressure that develops during lifting.
The Cordura® cover is present in all HMPE slings with a capacity greater than 100 t.
■ High tenacity (15 times higher than quality steel).
■ Low elongation (0,5% at WLL).
■ Low weight (10 times lower than steel).
■ Superior quality material.
■ Compliant with EN1492-1.
■ Possibility of applying NFC-RFID microchips (Tech for Safety).
■ Robust and flexible textile structure: it adapts perfectly to the shape of the load.
■ Floats on water (specific weight = 0.97 g/cm3).
■ Excellent resistance to chemical agents.
■ Excellent resistance to UV rays.
■ Excellent resistance to abrasion.
■ Wide choice of protections against the risk of abrasion and cuts.
■ 100% HMPE fiber in the core.
■ 100% Cordura® in the cover sleeve.
■ WLL from 100 to 600 t.
■ Min elongation at WLL (0.5% of WLL; 3% of breaking load).
■ Safety Factor 7:1.
■ Breaking load up to 4200 t.
■ Serial numbered, tear-resistant load plate.
■ Ratio D:d = 1:1.
■ Min Length = 0.5 m.
■ MAX Length = 35 m.

Important notice
As prescribed by the EN-1492-1:2000+A1:2008 standard (C.3.6 and D.3.7), slings must be protected from sharp edges and from the risk of friction and abrasion arising from both contact with the load and contact with lifting devices (shackles, eyebolts, lifting rings and crane hooks in general). If protection against cutting and/or abrasion damage is supplied as part of the sling, it must be positioned correctly.
Begni Group is able to provide the most suitable protections to manage even the most critical lifts with maximum safety.
According to EN-1492-1:2000+A1:2008 (C.3.6 e D.3.7), slings should be protected from edges, friction and abrasion, whether from the load or the lifting appliance (shackles, hooks, lifting points). Where protection against damage from edge and / or abrasion s supplied as a part of the sling, this should be correctly positioned.
BEGNI Group supplies the most adequate protections to safely manage even the most critical lifting operations.
