3D POLIPROPYLENE DUNNAGE AIR BAGS

Traditional airbags have only two dimensions. 3D airbags are made with an extra piece of fabric, sewn to the main body, to create the third dimension.

3D dunnage airbag is essential when gaps between cargo units are bigger than 60 cm.

They are fitted into the gaps between the cargo and then filled with compressed air. 3D dunnage airbags safely secure cargo during the transportation by preventing movements and absorbing impacts.

Construction

The basic construction of any dunnage air bag is the combination of two major parts:

• the IN-LINER (extruded polyethylene) which holds the compressed air.
• the OUT LINER (PP woven polypropylene material) which gives the shape, the stability and the enormous strength to the dunnage air bag.

3D dunnage airbags are mostly custom manufactured, to comply with the end-user’s application.

Association of American Railroads (AAR)

AAR approval confirms the high quality of the product. All BEGNI Group COBRA® dunnage airbags are AAR verified.

Fast filling valve (Venturi)

Fast filling valves, compared to the traditional valves, manage a huge amount of air: airbags are filled up much faster, no compressed air is not wasted. (Compared to the standard valves, dunnage airbags are filled fast- er than 30 – 40%). They also provide repetitive use of the airbag thanks to the ease of deflation.

Filling Pressure

According to the European standard, the safety factor is 3. (Nominal burst pressure / Filling pressure).

Average working pressure will not exceed 0,05 bar.
