HIGH PERFORMANCE ROUND SLINGS – HMPE CORE, POLYESTER COVER
22 February 2025“High performance” round slings are defined as such because they are made with a special polyethylene fiber (HMPE) precisely defined as “high performance” due to its formidable properties.
HPRS-XS slings have a core and a cover made of HMPE. This ensures excellent resistance to wear and abrasion.
■ Compliant with EN1492-1.
■ Robust and flexible textile structure: adapts perfectly to the shape of the load.
■ Very high load capacity (15 times higher than steel).
■ Minimum elongation (0.5% of WLL; 3% of breaking load).
■ Very low weight (10 times lower than steel).

■ D: d ratio = 1:1.
■ Possibility of applying NFC-RFID microchips (Tech for Safety).
■ 100% HMPE fibre in both the load-bearing part (core) and the external sleeve.
■ Colouring according to EN1492-2.

■ Minimum elongation at working load (0.5% of WLL; 3% of breaking load).
■ Safety factor 7:1.
■ MIN length = 0.5 m.

■ Limit operating temperatures: -40°C +70°C.
■ Tear-resistant serial numbered load plate.
■ HMPE-XS cover sleeve: good resistance to abrasion.
■ Wide choice of protections against the risk of abrasion and cutting.
■ Floats on water (specific weight = 0.97 g/cm3).
■ Excellent resistance to chemical agents.

Important Notice
As prescribed by the EN-1492-1:2000+A1:2008 standard (C.3.6 and D.3.7), slings must be protected from sharp edges and from the risk of friction and abrasion arising from both contact with the load and contact with lifting devices (shackles, eyebolts, lifting rings and crane hooks in general). If protection against cutting and/or abrasion damage is provided as part of the sling, it must be positioned correctly.

According to EN-1492-1:2000+A1:2008 (C.3.6 e D.3.7), slings should be protected from edges, friction and abrasion, whether from the load or the lifting appliance (shackles, hooks, lifting points). Where protection against damage from edge and / or abrasion s supplied as a part of the sling, this should be correctly positioned.
